In The dim and distant past of panic and lockdowns, thanks to Covid! I decided to explore poetry as a subject on my Youtube channel, steelcityman . I dedicated a few weeks to this theme. The poetry I chose to read and analyze on the vlogs are some of my favourites, and a few newly discovered ones. It’s quite an eclectic selection, ranging from the powerful content of Maya Angelou and Walt Whitman to some of the humour of Pam Ayres, as well as some that really do need explaining to understand the real ‘stuff’ behind them.
