I’ve been incommunicado for a while…indeed, one of my last posts was about the election battle between Ken and Boris, sorry, DORIS… for the honour of being the Lord Mayor of London. I really did expect the people of London to exercise a modicum of common sense, a soupcon even…and elect Ken … but did they ?? alas no, they elected a clown who argued against his own policies in a televised debate. They elected a buffoon who blusters instead of informs the (good) people of London. At the end of the day, he is a Tory, and in my 64 years of existence on this lump of rock we call Earth, or home, I have never met a Tory with a social conscience worth a damn.
The people of London will now get the leader they deserve…. a Leader who will NOT build social housing and develop the Decent homes scheme, a leader who will NOT provide a Cheaper and more efficient public transport system and a leader who will NOT invest in the fight against crime. You had the chance to make a difference….now you have lost it. BRING ON THE CLOWNS ……. 
The ‘Steel City’ voted a big NO in the referendum to see if we wanted an elected Lord Mayor…in the coming years, the people of London will see the wisdom of that……..but, then again, most Londoners don’t yet know there is life beyond Watford Gap….
