What a grand day it is today … all up to date with the Blogging 101 exercise…the sun is shining and warming things up to the tune of 32 C … listening to England getting the better of Australia in the Test Match (for the moment) with Sheffield’s own Joe Root leading the way…and a glass of Jamesons Irish whiskey on the table in the garden…Bees buzzing around the flowers and a gentle breeze blowing to keep me awake ….. how on earth can I make it better ?? Rather selfish I know because there are many ways to make it better, like sitting here with my late father would be good…being with the friends and colleagues I used to work with and don’t see anymore would be good…being able to offer this sanctuary to less fortunate people would be good too… However, here I am content with what I have got, and extremely grateful too.
Just thought I’d let you all know I’m here and feeling good with (most) things. All in all it’s a grand day in my little bubble in God’s own country, (Yorkshire)…see you soon folks, more blogging to do.
“How can you make your day better?” you ask.
Suggestion: A full English Breakfast! — complete with bangers and baked beans and all the other good stuff should do the trick.
This is really interesting to me…my grandparents were from Yorkshire. I always hoped to travel there one day, but never made it! I’m hoping that you have more posts that talk a bit about the region and the people. Nice writing!
