I would like to nominate the following bloggers:
First blogger I nominate is Kaitlyn … Short story writer and poet who bares her soul in words…eminently readable
second blogger I nominate is Sandy over at Scribbles and musings of an introvert , I wouldn’t describe her as an introvert as she is such a busy woman who does an excellent eclectic blog and has a very wide range of interests/passions. Well worth a visit.
Third blogger to be nominated is Martin Upfold with his blog focusing on his life with Bi-Polar disorder … and his most excellent photography … very insightful reading as he bares his soul in telling of his daily struggle. He is a new blogger and I think this award nomination may be the fillip he needs to encourage him to write on a regular basis.
Fourth Blogger is Betsy with her blog entitled Granny with a blog a seemingly ordinary woman who is full of words, stories and love. Betsy provides an anything but ordinary blog which is well written and relevant … give her some encouragement to write some more by visiting and commenting.
Fifth blogger is SUSAN GUTTERMAN and her Blog MUSIN’ WITH SUSAN…she actually has three, yes THREE blogs on the go, one of which showcases her brilliant photography
Congratulations! I love your blog, too!
Thank you Susan…yours was the first blog I turned to to make my own five nominations for the award, but it is only for those with UNDER 200 followers…you have too many I’m afraid, but then again that’s a good thing isn’t it lol.
Just checked my stats and I have only 21 followers. Over 200, I wish! That’s Facebook followers, which I guess means “friends”.
Congratulations!!!
Thank you mon ami…blessings upon you
Congratulations to you!
Thank you…still reading you Rachel
Just added my Liebster Award post to my site. Thank you, again for nominating me!
You’re very welcome Susan … You do a grand blog 🌹🌹🌹
Hmmm, congrats????
I went to his site, the military man who nominated you, I mean. I read several posts down to the rape fantasy ya’ll encouraged to be a movie and despite the trigger “warning” for sexism… (like that helps anything when glorifying it)
Didn’t agree with his “lack of hierarchal assessment of americans”
because:
Not sure why military men wanna think “ladies” desire rape… or how they view/write about which women will make the best gals to be one of the guys due to “her stocky build…”
Good for him thinking socialism is best for humans… but women aren’t included in that humanity from what I’ve read… and this nomination recommendation makes me feel you GUYS are so utterly clueless.
Sorry, Captain… 😦
I see what you mean Tabby…I must confess I hadn’t read the story until you mentioned it, as almost immediately , I knew it wasn’t my cup of tea, so to speak. In fairness, even though he obviously liked the story, it wasn’t his, he just reproduced it from someone else. I have read the story now, found it very much not my cup of tea and I can see where your comments come from. Please bare in mind, Tabby, not all men are tainted with the sexist brush…if we are, then please accept that some are struggling for change..it was part of my working brief for many years to embrace the much needed change of male attitudes and educate young men to respect women and themselves…..Thanks for pointing out what I hadn’t seen and I appreciate your comments.
Thank you so much for your clarification and emphasis on your point of view. That means a lot to me. I can’t express to you how much so. But truly, thank you for your sensitivity.
I’m concerned about the military men. They are perpetuators of rape-culture and need to stop it. They have a code of silence regarding rape of men and women in the U.S. military that is being somewhat addressed finally and yet mostly still combated. He’s also wrong we don’t think about or feel the war at home. So very wrong. It effects everything and everyone, and people may seem like they aren’t paying attention, or caring, when really they are overwhelmed by the circumstances at home and abroad. The gap between the rich and poor is astounding. The health care is atrocious and expensive. We are currently a debtor nation. Not a lender, like before. We make money on arms. On wars. We profit on war. If you look up what our economy is truly based on currently, it’s military funding… This has little to nothing to do with socialism. So he can like the rape story and his readers can want a movie, but it doesn’t make sense to me at all.
No matter what, you are certainly deserving of an award and broad readership…
I hope he reconsiders his interest in rape glorification. Women who fantasize about it have merely been conditioned to think this is the only way they are allowed to enjoy sex. But we aren’t humans… just sex-objects and worthless at that… when men want movies that depict women enjoying this treatment. I hope he learns from you rather than perpetuating more rape-fantasies… Because that hurts us at home (when he thinks we don’t care about him) and it’s so true that I don’t care about service men at all and I do not revere there sacrifice when they see me as meat.
You’re still the Captain. xoxo
