It certainly gives food for thought as well as feelings of guilt and shame at being white, American or European … try and put those feelings aside to be dealt with later, and read the full post with an open heart and mind ….

Thank you so much for sharing this, Pat. The situation in Standing Rock is becoming ever more alarming. Peaceful protectors are being sprayed with mace, beaten, shot with rubber bullets and beanbags, and rounded up and put in dog kennels with numbers written on their arms. One of videos posted on facebook tonight showed the vantage point of a woman who was shot as she was videotaping. You could hear her shock as her camera wobbled and catch glimpses of her as she fell. It’s heartbreaking. Mainstream news here doesn’t post any of these stories.
